I am attending a 5 day photography workshop at the Miksang Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Miksang is Tibetan for Good Eye. It's a form of contemplative photography which works to facilitate "direct seeing" without the filters and preconceptions we generally superimpose. Today was the first day and it was about seeing and photographing color. We did several exercises in the morning to help us form the intent to see color and then spent a couple of hours on the Pearl Street Mall shooting color. We then returned to learn more and see what we all had shot. Here are my picks for today.
